In Germany by law each child needs to undergo the necessary check-ups (U-Untersuchung) during his/her development. The preventive check-ups give the parents and the pediatrician an important tool to recognize early developmental problems and delays. Necessary therapies can be implemented by the pediatrician in the early stage in order to give the child the chance for a normal physical and neurological development.
